Home Business – How to Get the Results You Want

Are you surprised at your results? Many people are surprised at their results when it is obvious to others that because of the actions you took pretty much guaranteed your result. Why is that? People don’t see their own destructive behavior; however you can see it in others, right?

Ask yourself the question is this exactly where I want to be?

Every action we take has consequences and a result.

You know when you drink to excess that you will not feel well the next day. As a result of not feeling well you will not be able to accomplish or do what you wanted quite the way you pictured it. Oh you may well still be able to accomplish a task or two, but you will not be as focused or dedicated

There have been many times where I have wanted to stress eat; something that I know is bad for me. This used to happen when I had something important to do the next day or later on in that day. It took a while before I made the connection between the food and the behavior. After a while I knew very well that to decide to eat that food would mean that I would not have the brain power to complete a difficult task properly. Maybe I was to be speaking; then as a result of the food I had consumed I was not as enthusiastic or inspiring as I could have been. For me it was one of the ways I would sabotage my own results.

How are you sabotaging your success? Is it with food? Perhaps it is with television. We have many ways to distract or sabotage ourselves. The first step in stopping the sabotage is to recognize where you are doing it.

One of the simplest ways that has been successful for me is to ask myself a question “Do I want the results/consequences I will receive from …? Eating this food? Or sitting in front of the television? Or staying up too late? Once you start to ask yourself the question you too will be able to curtail or stop the behavior which brings the results you do not want.

Three action steps you can take now to get the results you want;

1) Be grateful for what you already have. This will build the habit of focusing on the positive aspects of your life and when that becomes a habit you will find the law of attraction at work and you will have more and more positive results.

2) Celebrate your victories. Do not shrug them off and hurry off to the next task. When you celebrate the victories you also are reinforcing what you want, making it fun creates the great memories you can fall back on during the challenging times.

3) Accountability! Find an accountability partner. I am accountable to my strategic business coach John Di Lemme every day. I must post a list of all of the business building activities I did each day. When you find your accountability partner you will find that as the end of the day draws near and you have done nothing you will hurry up and so something so that you will not have a nil report. It is very powerful.

AND once you start this process in your life it becomes easier to recognize where your destructive habits are and with practice you will overcome them! Remember it took you years to develop them; don’t expect that you can fix them overnight. Give yourself the gift of time!
